GOLDENBERG ROSENTHAL, LLP ANNOUNCES COMBINATION WITH AMPER, POLITZINER & MATTIA CPAS

MAY 5, 2008 - Goldenberg Rosenthal LLP announced that, effective August 1, 2008, it is combining with Amper, Politziner & Mattia, CPAs, a large regional accounting firm with offices throughout New Jersey and New York. The combination — one of the accounting industry’s largest in the last four years — creates, nationally, a Top 25 accounting firm with 84 partners, 600 total employees and annual revenues of $113 million. Mark Master, GR's Partner-in-Charge of Healthcare Practices, wrote an article entitled "How to prevent employee fraud" with Sheldon Eveloff, retired Partner-in-Charge of Management Consulting Services. PAUL E. ZIKMUND JOINS LITIGATION SUPPORT SERVICES GROUP

GR announced that Paul E. Zikmund, a leading fraud expert, has joined the firm'sLitigation Support Services team as a Principal. With over 20 years of experience in the field, Zikmund has led global fraud and forensics teams at verious Fortune 500 companies investigating complex financial frauds. As a Certified Fraud Examiner and Certified Forensic Finanical Analyst, he performs corporate investigations, delivers compliance and integrity services, and administers fraud risk assessments and fraud awareness training programs.

TORPEY WHITE PART OF IIA GTAG 9 PUBLISHING TEAM

Torpey White, Director of Management Consulting & SAS 70 Services at GR, was part of the team of authors for “Global Technology Audit Guide (GTAG) 9 - Identity and Access Management,”a white paper published by the Institute of Internal Auditors.  This GTAG and the others in the series, provides authoritative guidance to auditors globally and serves as a reference to Chief Executive Auditors for planning, conducting and reporting on the high-risk audit areas in their Information Technology environment. GR NAMED 14TH IN 2007 BEST PLACES TO WORK IN PENNSYLVANIA

GR is proud to announce that the firm has been named one of the Best Places to Work in PA for 2007. This statewide survey and awards program was designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in Pennsylvania. The Best Places to Work in PA list is made up of 100 companies split into two groups: 50 medium-sized companies (25 - 250 employees) and 50 large-sized companies (251 or more employees). GR has been ranked 14th in the medium category. The selection process consisted of two parts. An evaluation of the company's workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics determined 25% of the score. The remaining 75% was based on employee completed surveys. Leon A. LaRosa, Jr. to Chair Litigation Support Services at GR

Goldenberg Rosenthal, LLP announced that Leon A. LaRosa, Jr., CPA, CFE, MST, has joined the firm as a Partner and will serve as Chair of GR’s Litigation Support Services. Jenkintown, PAGoldenberg Rosenthal, LLP (GR Group), a top regional accounting and business advisory firm serving closely-held, mid-level businesses across a wide variety of industries in the greater Philadelphia region, has elected Jay Weinstein, CPA, MBA, MST as its new managing partner. Weinstein, who takes the helm on July 1, 2007 as the sixth managing partner in the firm’s 89-year history, succeeds Barry W. Braun, CPA, who has managed the 130-person firm for the past seven years.
